The Falcon SB Continues To Improve Gold Recovery For Canadian Companies

Sepro Falcon SB

Back in May, we reported on gold producer, TMAC’s, announcement that they were seeing early signs of gold recovery improvements thanks to our Falcon SB gravity concentrator.

A month later, they have made further statements on the continued recovery improvements they are experiencing with our gravity concentration equipment.

Gil Lawson of TMAC has said, “In our first month operating a Falcon SB400 in the Plant we achieved a recovery for the month of 83%, which is very encouraging for the very first month of its operation. We tested the unit with our lowest grade stockpile for about half the month before feeding the Plant with higher grade blends. The performance improvement of the concentrator line met our expectations given the various grade regimes that were tested to achieve this average recovery.”

The improvements in recovery and efficiency have meant that TMAC have decided to install more of our gravity concentrators.

Lawson said, “we have ordered additional gravity concentrator units that will be installed beginning later this summer that will drive further improvements and take us to the point where we will begin optimization and seek our ultimate recovery target of greater than 90%…With increased throughput, grade and recoveries we expect to drive our all in sustaining costs significantly lower as fixed costs are spread over increasing gold production.”

Sepro’s decades of experience in the industry has guided our design of equipment that helps mineral producers where they most want it – improving efficiencies.

Our VP of Projects, Andrew Gillis, says “Everyone at Sepro is thrilled with the progress being made at TMAC’s processing plant. I personally know that TMAC’s metallurgical and operational personnel are some of the best in the industry and we’re just happy that our Falcon gravity concentrator can play a small role in their success. We’re looking forward to working with everyone at TMAC on their upcoming plant improvements in the months to come.”

The amount of gold TMAC poured in May 2018, with the Falcon SB Gravity Concentrators installed, was 49% higher than December 2017. These types of improvements are common for those using both gravity concentration as a method and specifically with our Falcon line of concentrators. Efficiency is a key feature of all three of our Falcon Gravity Concentrators.
